Event Report
What is a success in theater?
The answer is unequivocal: a full house, sincere emotions of the audience, laughter and applause! This is exactly how the premiere of the children's play based on Ivan Franko's fairy tale The Painted Fox took place.
The newly established Ukrainian amateur theater Traveling Stars, which debuted last year at Ukrainian Hall San Francisco in San Francisco, has been actively working to create this last-minute performance for our youngest audience members and gave an incredible time to everyone present!
The audience was transported to a magical forest where adventures with a cunning fox took place.... The guests saw a lot of instructive and funny things, and even after centuries Ivan Franko's work instills love for Ukrainian fairy tales.
All this was made possible thanks to the dedicated work and play of the actors, we sincerely thank the entire team of the “Traveling Stars”, in particular the artistic director Ms. Yelena Bilyak and the actors and everyone who helps, namely: Bohdan Pyndus-Pastukh, Natasha Karpenko, Diana Yavorska, Vadzim Pryshchepau, Olena Petrova, Tetiana Lozhnevska, Valia Pashckova, Arkady Kaminski.
The children of the Ukrainian School of St. Princess Olha under the guidance of Ms. Olga Krailo were also actively preparing for the performance. The artists Sofiya Ohorodnyk and Anna Gontar organized an exhibition of illustrations for the fairy tale with the students, creating an atmosphere of anticipation in the school.
At the end of the performance, a charity auction was held with valuable lots, for which we are sincerely grateful: Yelena Bilyak, Natalie Kokhanyy, Tanya Omelyuk, Anna Gontar, Zhanna Romanchenko'Kapurova', Natalia Lutsak
We are grateful to Father Roman Bobesiuk and the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church for kindly providing the hall, Taras Turiv for the light and sound support of the event, and all the many volunteers who helped!
From ticket sales and the auction, we were able to accumulate $3,690, the evening's expenses amounted to $250, the net result was $3,440!
This is all thanks to our joint efforts, THANK YOU! Let's give children a fairy tale!
See you soon friends!!!!
