Charity concert “Community-Laub Ukraine Initiative” | August

Please come and enjoy a wonderful collection of Ukrainian classical compositions, folk and contemporary songs, dances and special performances.

The concert consists of 2 parts, 45 min. each, with 30 min. intermission. During the intermission there will be a silent and live auction.

The lineup of performers is diverse and authentic:

Ola Herasymenko Oliynyk - famous Ukrainian musician, renowned performer on bandura, a traditional Ukrainian string instrument. She will perform several songs and instrumental pieces.

Ivanna Taratula Filipenko - mezzo-soprano, former singer of Lviv National Opera House, will perform the most famed pieces from her repertoire.

Oleksandra Zabashta - soprano, former soloist of Kyiv National Theatre of Operetta, will sing the most famed pieces from her repertoire.

Igor Veligan - an accomplished violinist, concertmaster, chamber musician and teacher of both violin and viola. He will perform famous compositions for violin. Mira Veligan, Igor's wife, will be accompanying him on the piano.

Olesia and Roman Ritachka duo will show the harmonious possibilities of voice and bandura collaboration.

Folk Duet Oksana and Svyatoslav Stus will sing acapella a few traditional Ukrainian folk and patriotic songs.

Our performers are frequent participants of many California music festivals and a wide variety of Ukrainian events.

The concert is part of the Hromada and Paul Laub Ukraine Initiative Charity Concert Series.
