"Peylos Fest – 2026": The Light of Childlike Sincerity and Family Warmth
On the last Sunday of June, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Palos Park, the annual parish festival of young talents took place – a celebration that has become a cherished tradition within the Ukrainian community and a true center of unity, creativity, and spiritual upliftment.
This year, the festival presented itself to guests in a new format – the main participants were young talents from the Ukrainian communities of Chicago, who had the opportunity to showcase their abilities on a big stage. Over 60 child performers gifted the audience with unforgettable moments, and more than 300 guests shared the joy of this family celebration, supporting each performance with sincere applause.

It was especially valuable that for many children, this was their first experience performing before such a large audience. Through song and dance, they not only revealed their talents but also glorified God, shared the beauty of Ukrainian culture, and brought the light of childlike sincerity to those present. Each act was filled with love, inspiration, and the tireless work of the young artists and their mentors.
The festival had a special atmosphere of a true Ukrainian fair. The air was filled with the aromas of traditional Ukrainian dishes, the majestic sounds of trembitas echoed, and the festive mood prevailed from the first to the last minute. Children, their parents, friends, and community guests together created a warm family atmosphere, where everyone felt like part of a large Ukrainian family far from their native land.
The celebration was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish community, the dedication of numerous volunteers, organizers, and the generous support of patrons and donors. It is through their work that the festival not only unveiled new names among young performers but also initiated traditions that unite generations around Ukrainian culture, based on spirituality and harmony.
We sincerely express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to organizing this wonderful celebration: the clergy, organizers, mentors, volunteers, benefactors, parents, and everyone who, through their work, support, or prayer, helped make this day unforgettable. It is thanks to such people that the Ukrainian community grows stronger, preserves its traditions, and passes them on to future generations.
We invite everyone to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of this bright, inspiring, and truly Ukrainian celebration by viewing the photos that captured the warmest moments of "Palos Fest – 2026".
