Dear Friends,

Today, on International Children's Day, we want to highlight the importance of supporting the most vulnerable — Ukrainian children who, due to the war and other difficult circumstances, urgently need our help.

We’d also like to share a story that shows how the power of small steps can grow into meaningful actions with a lasting impact for those in need.

Each year, the Tzedek Program at The Brandeis School of San Francisco encourages students to select local nonprofit organizations to support and raise funds for their missions.

Hromada had the honor of being chosen from among dozens of other organizations.

As part of this project, students Eric Zilberleyb and Alexander Krepkiy raised $1,031 to support Hromada’s projects in Ukraine! It’s truly inspiring to see how deeply they were moved by the scale of the tragedy caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war and the suffering it brings to children every day.

On behalf of Hromada, we sincerely thank Eric and Alexander for their incredible efforts, their mentor Dr. Jody Bloom, the administration of The Brandeis School of San Francisco, and especially their parents, whose guidance and values clearly played a significant role in inspiring such compassion and action.

Thank you for being on the right side of history — for supporting and standing with Ukraine during this genocidal war.

Believing in your cause and wanting to make the world a better place truly works wonders.

On this important day, we invite you to join us — and Eric and Alexander — so that together, we can make an even greater impact for Ukrainian orphans.
